Scholarship Awards

We're proud to support young people pursuing agriculture studies. We offer academic scholarships to incoming freshmen and current college students. Every year, we award up to five scholarships to students in our West Region and five scholarships to students in our East Region.

  • Up to three $1,500 scholarships are designated for incoming freshmen enrolled in an agricultural curriculum at an accredited university in each region
  • Up to two $1,500 scholarships are designated for students currently enrolled in an agricultural curriculum at an accredited university in each region
  • In the West Region, one of our scholarships is named the “Eldon Heathcott” Scholarship for an awardee attending Murray State University. Dr. Heathcott retired from Murray State University as Agriculture Department Chairman in 1997 and served on the Jackson Purchase ACA Board of Directors.
  • Another one of these scholarships is named the “David Leonard” Memorial Scholarship. Mr. Leonard served on the Jackson Purchase ACA Board of Directors for 23 years, until he passed away in May of 2006.  The AgCredit Board of Directors established this scholarship in his honor to be presented to a graduating senior from Graves County High School majoring in agriculture.
